Students arrive at school at 8:30am. Each day begins with a half hour homeroom session. During this time homeroom teachers collect their students and welcome them into the classroom. Students join their homeroom teacher for a guided activity or enjoy a personalized project of high interest. At this time student are also asked to enjoy a snack to start the day. Students are encouraged to eat throughout the day and often travel to and from our classroom with books and lunch kit in hand.

At 9am, all students head out for an hour long physical education period. We recognize that some students prefer team sports while others enjoy individualized activity. Our goal is to meet the needs of each student and provide physical activities that suits and respects their personal interests and preferences. Athletic activities include visits to the Osborne Gymnasium (field hockey, climbing, dodge ball, basketball, badminton, etc), structured and unstructured games at the Rhododendron Forest, playground visits, capture the flag, swimming at the UBC Pool, skating at the Thunderbird Arena, and gymnastics lessons with the school of human kinetics.
At 10am, students return for their first academic block and receive hour long instruction in English, math, science, socials, or art. At 11am, students continue to their second academic block.
At noon students have their lunch and between 12:15 and 12:30pm, students go outside for an additional recess period. Students return for their third academic block at 1pm and complete their fourth academic block at 2pm. Student dismissal is at 3pm.
